Job Description:

Position Title: Packaging Wage: $16.00 - $17.00/hour Shift: 1st or 2nd Hours: 7:00am - 3:45pm or 3:45pm - 1:30am Reached a dead end at your current job? This is a potential to hire position for 1st or 2nd shift. Apply today! Packaging Responsibilities: - Maintain pack out production areas in clean and sanitary conditions - Track, record and weigh inedible totes or barrels, emptying trash containers - Dispose and label inedible collected - Break down empty combos - Remove old printing and labels from combo before reused - Attend to current needs of the process by responding immediately to the expressed instructions of the Production Supervisor and/or Production Foreman - Assist with preparing and disassembling packaging equipment for operation of meat-processing or sanitation - Place each bag in correct box, visually inspecting each bag to ensure proper seal - Assist with the collection, opening, and reuse of rework ensuring proper identification of product and line to eliminate cross contamination and allergen concerns - Complete assigned paperwork - Operate manual hand jack as needed - Ensure boxes, labels, and all other supplies needed for the production run and any changeover are present are staged to facilitate smooth production Requirements for Packaging: - High School Diploma or GED preferred - Able to withstand working in a cooler environment consisting of refrigerated temperatures maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit - Dependable and detail-oriented - Able to follow directions and work under minimal supervision - Good communication skills - Able to work weekends and overtime hours as needed - Able to multi-task in fast paced environment - Able to lift up to 75lbs kenoshapc@qpsemployment.com IND015 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
