At The DeLong Co., Inc., a leader in agricultural products and services, we are currently seeking a dedicated Grain Elevator Location Manager to oversee operations at one of our strategic grain handling sites. This role is pivotal in managing daily operations and ensuring the efficiency and safety of grain storage and distribution. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in agricultural management and a deep understanding of grain handling techniques to enhance our operations. Manage the overall operations of the grain elevator, including receiving, storing, and shipping of grain. Monitor grain conditioning, blending, and inventory to maximize quality and profitability. Implement and enforce safety standards in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment. Hire, train, and supervise elevator staff, fostering a team-oriented environment. Coordinate logistics and transportation services for incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintain accurate records of all operations, including inventory levels, transaction logs, and compliance reports. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure financial objectives are met. Engage with local farmers and clients to maintain and grow business relationships. Strong leadership and management skills In-depth knowledge of grain storage and handling procedures Proficient in agricultural software and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced environment Understanding of budgeting and financial management within agriculture Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Grain Elevator Operator (CGEO) preferred OSHA Safety Training Certification
