Management of dysrhythmias - Care management for patients with
multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Arterial line management -
Central line care/management - Continuous IV sedation - Titration
of cardiac drips - Titration of vasoactive drips - BiPAP/CPAP
management/maintenance - Care of ventilated patients -
Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) - Suctioning (ETT,
NT) - Ventilator management - Isolation precautions/PPE -
Computerized documentation Description: The position requires an RN
specializing in ICU. The shift is 3x12s from 7 am to 7:30 pm. There
is no block scheduling. Weekend requirement includes working every
other weekend, amounting to two weekends per month. Time off
requests are limited to a maximum of five days, with no more than
two consecutive days. No requests for time off are accepted on
holidays or the days immediately preceding or following holidays.
Floating between various ICU units, including Burn ICU, CCU,
Medical ICU, SICU, and Neuro ICU, is mandatory. ICU RNs may also
float to medical-surgical units if staffing needs arise. The first
week involves orientation and precepting shifts, which will be
conducted on day shifts. Local candidates are preferred. The
facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center. Scrub color is flexible and
not provided by the facility. Charting is done using a specified
system. All candidates must comply with vaccination requirements
prior to starting. Additional details regarding compliance with
various requirements will be communicated during the hiring
process. Returning candidates must undergo recredentialing and
re-orientation. Compliance with deadlines for all required
documents is essential for continuing the assignment. Modules
necessary for the position must be completed prior to the start
