Loyola Medical Center located in the western suburbs and
approximately, 35 minutes from downtown Chicago. Easy access from

The new lab enables greater operational efficiencies, improved
turnaround times to support future growth and expansion into
emerging technologies and lab testing methodologies. Our Vision As

life. Hours: Registry .2FTE 8 hours per week minimum Nights 11:00pm
- 7:30am Brand NEW Clinical Laboratory - Features daylight access,
in an open concept lab space Area: Blood Bank Location: Loyola
Medical Center, Maywood, IL Visa sponsorship is NOT available for
this position; this position DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM
OPT extension program. About the role In this role, the Medical Lab
Scientist is responsible for supporting the delivery of patient
care by performing laboratory testing that is utilized in the
diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. This includes
waived, moderate and high complexity testing. *Experience with
waived, moderate, and high complexity testing in a clinical
laboratory setting through education or work experience required*
What you'll do Performs all laboratory testing, including the
pre-examination phase in accordance with standard operating
procedures and accreditation guidelines to support the delivery of
patient care. Conducts and documents established quality control
procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and
products; evaluates the results of quality control testing and
implements corrective action according to established protocols to
ensure the accuracy and quality of patient testing. Here's what
you'll need Required: Bachelor's Degree/OR associate's degree-
Medical Laboratory Science Program Specific Degree(s): Medical
Technology, Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Science Blood
Bank experience required Licensure/Certifications Preferred:
Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent Other:
