Senior Principal – Advanced Solutions The Senior Innovation
Principal is a customer facing business development position within
Verizon Business Group (VBG). By applying vertical industry
expertise and strategic perspective to achieving customer outcomes,
the Senior Principal within the Manufacturing/Energy/Utility
Practice initiates, drives and manages the overall innovation
strategy and direction for key enterprise clients of VBG. They
engage with executive level leaders (C-level to VP level range) to
establish joint partnership on Industry 4.0 and Digital
Transformation. Thought Leadership is foundational to the success
in this role. Thought Leadership is developed through disciplined
engagement with Verizon clients, Verizon team members, partner
ecosystem, industry contacts, industry analysts. The Senior
Innovation Principal is a thought leader that supports VBG’s
business through six core activities: Support and strategic
engagement for large VBG opportunities Business development and new
opportunity initiation Vertical industry engagement Input for new
product development Internal vertical collaboration and training
Vertical events including speaking roles at industry conferences,
webinars and podcasts. The Senior Innovation Principal provides
guidance and strategic insight to the client on how to solve
business problems through integrated Verizon solutions (Network as
a Service, Private Wireless & Neutral Host Networks, WLAN, Digital
Workplace, Security, IoT, Network and Edge Compute solutions). This
role directly works with the core account management teams to
create, guide and execute funnel opportunities in the existing,
run-rate business as well as strategic advanced solutions. The
Senior Innovation Principal is a key source of vertical industry
knowledge and expertise that is to be shared through multiple VBG
channels to core account teams and internal stakeholders. This is
considered critical force-multiplier work. Senior Innovation
Principals also strengthen Verizon’s credibility internally and
externally through our executive-level industry thought leaders who
leverage deep expertise in client engagements, business development
& ecosystem relationships to create a forward-looking approach for
Verizon's go to market portfolio, which resonates with customers
and the overall industry. The Senior Innovation Principal will
operate in a matrix structure and lead a team of deal experts,
solution architects and will work alongside core sales, adoption
specialists and customer service consultants. Those resources could
be dedicated or shared across multiple accounts. Responsibilities:
Drive strategic growth of our business with Global Enterprise
customers in the U.S. Provide guidance and thought leadership to
large businesses, on how to solve industry challenges and gain edge
through the application of the entire VBG portfolio, alongside
cutting-edge ecosystem partners. Lead teams of solution architects,
adoption specialists and deal experts to drive development of
opportunities. Work in partnership with our Client Partners and
Regional Sales Leaders to create, guide and execute sales
opportunities through strategic advanced solutions. Sell the value
of solutions through a highly consultative and forward-thinking
approach. Developing and delivering cutting edge solutions to our
customers. Active participation/Leadership in Industry Affiliation
Groups such as National Association of Manufacturers, Manufacturers
Alliance and CESMII. The Senior Innovation Principal will engage

In-person speaking engagements representing the manufacturing
vertical for Verizon Written Articles, whitepapers, hosted
webinars, etc. Verizon Product Development efforts Education on the
manufacturing industry for relevant VBG teams. You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or
more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through
one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or
specialized training. Willingness to travel. Extensive experience
working in the manufacturing vertical. The position requires
extensive first-hand knowledge of the following concepts: -Industry
4.0/Smart Factory -Purdue Model -IT Organization vs OT Organization
– roles & responsibilities and typical goals
-Onshoring/reshoring/localization of supply chains -Manufacturing /
Industrial Automation -Manufacturing Supply Chain and Value Streams
-OSHA regulatory oversight -Digital Twins for virtual process
simulations This position can be located in most other valid
Verizon locations in US Hub locations. Where you’ll be working In
this mobile role, you'll primarily work from customer or field
location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for

experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential
to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be
adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual salary range for the
location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time
schedule is: $138,500.00 - $265,000.00. The annual salary range for
the Illinois location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a
full-time schedule is: $152,500.00 - $265,000.00. The annual salary
range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition
based on a full-time schedule is: $152,500.00 - $265,000.00.
