* Performs a variety of duties to determine that materials, products and/or processes are in accordance with specifications and requirements.
* Makes visual, dimensional, electrical or mechanical tests of materials, processes, assemblies or subassemblies.
* May use a variety of precision measuring instruments and test equipment. Work usually requires more advance applications and a thorough knowledge of materials, tools, and gauges. May assign and instruct lower level technicians.
* Refer deviations from standards to appropriate personnel.
* May maintain graphs and records pertinent to the function.
* Requires completion of a 2 year technical degree program plus 7 or more years of related experience.
