HOURLY RATE: $12/hr

LOCATION: Kenosha Wisconsin

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time

ABOUT THE JOB:

Ambulnz by DocGo is offering a career path opportunity in Emergency Medical Services. We will provide the required training for you to begin your career as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). You will be provided an hourly pay rate while you learn and be given the opportunity to work with us after you are certified!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Complete an approved 60-hour Emergency Care Attendance (ECA)/ Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course to obtain certification at no cost to you.
* Verification of skills proficiency and achievement of a passing score on the written certification examination.
* Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and or the public
* Receives call from the dispatcher, responds verbally to emergency calls, reads maps, may drive ambulance to emergency site
* Assess patients through physical examination and obtaining vital signs
* Collaborate with your fellow trainees and management to assure top-tier patient care.
* Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses, and registrations as an Emergency Medical Technician trainee.
* Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all state and city protocols (based on competency level).
* Assists in lifting, carrying, and transporting patients to ambulance and to a medical facility.
* Provide top-tier medical transport to medical facilities and hospitals by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures as an Emergency Medical Technician trainee (based on competency level)
* Deliver verbal and written reports regarding patients
* Keep the vehicle clean and in good running order throughout the shift
* Maintain stock of supplies and equipment in the vehicle

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must be at least 19 years of age
* Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history for 2 or more years
* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
* Must be fully vaccinated for COVID 19 prior to employment
* Ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 125 pounds (250 with assistance)
* Communication skills; customer service experience (preferred)
* Ability to use good judgment and remain calm in high-stress situations
* Able to commit to working with Ambulnz for 1 year after obtaining your WI/IL EMT Certification
