Configuration EngineeringPosition Summary:The IT Business Systems
Analyst - Manufacturing would be primarily responsible for system
selections, implementations, and change management of our many
manufacturing and quality systems. This full time ownership
position will work collaboratively with our Operations, Quality,
Metallurgy, and Engineering functions. This position will be a key
critical role to developing innovative leading edge solutions for
our manufacturing processes. In addition, this role will be on the
cutting edge of predictive analytics, machine learning, and IoT
solutions for our other owners.Essential Responsibilities:Serve as
a trusted business partner to deliver thought leadership and
overall global designsLead the identification of user requirements
and deliver cutting edge technology capabilitiesLead change
management as part of the implementation processLearn several new
applications manufacturing and quality applicationsStay focused on
projects that are aligned to company KPI's such as quality, on-time
delivery, cost reduction, capacity improvement, and eliminating
customer pain pointsProvide the business owners the information
required for them to make educated decisions regarding system
changes, including defining overall scope, work effort, weighing
the risk to change, the time to change, and the benefits gained by
the changeFocus on the inputs and outputs of the Saw, Forge, Heat
Treat, Machining, Inspection, Quality Control, Metlab, Production
Control and Product Certification teams to improve their individual
department metrics and substantially improve overall company
results of Quality, on-time delivery and other company
measures.Learn and apply deep functional understanding of
manufacturing systems and apply thought leadership and innovative
technology solutions.Participate in the scoping and design of the
next generation manufacturing workflow and technology solutions by
either enhancing our current systems or developing new systems.To
create a knowledgebase to future owners on our main manufacturing
systems such as JDE, Metlab systems, Solidworks, furnace and press
technology, Mastercam, bar coding technology, reporting analytics,
and much moreExperience Required:Business or manufacturing
experience (2-4 years)Strong collaboration skills and the ability
to work with various types of people in our cultureStrong "customer
first" mentalityKeeping an open mind to what our front end system
should be in the futureHave a skillset, mindset, toolset approach.
