We are seeking a high performance individual to serve as the Plant
Manager for our corporate facility in Burlington, Wisconsin. This
position has a significant impact on morale in the plant, which in
turn impacts safety, quality, delivery and cost. The Plant Manager
is a highly visible position within the company, critical to the
advancement and growth of Lavelle.
The right fit individual for this role is responsible for all
aspects of output for the plant location, including:
Overall plant safety responsibility and execution of safety policy,
evaluation of lost time incident 5 whys and implementation of
Site responsibility for cost of quality; includes analysis,
determination of root cause and oversight of successful corrective
Management of several direct reports, including frontline
leadership team on all shifts
Execution of On Time Delivery to meet customer need
Drive overall equipment efficiency (OEE) improvements
Continued development of operations leaders
Continued development of an engaged workforce with a focus on
continuous improvement and retention
Creating and promoting a problem-solving culture throughout the
Coaching and mentoring continuous improvement teams.
Ideal experience, skills, education and previous responsibilities
for the successful candidate will include:
5 + years of progressively increasing operational management
Experience working in a lean manufacturing culture where lean
principles drive improvement.
Experience working in an ISO certified and compliant
Design of Experiment experience and practical application of the
same is preferred.
Management in a Union environment is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Operations management is
required; Industrial Engineering background preferred.
Demonstrated history of continuous improvement and successful
coaching & retention
