- MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED High School or Equivalent (GED) Preferred - MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Entry Level- LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Certification as a Pharmacy Technician within 12 months is recommended, but not required.- KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED Must have knowledge of pharmacy. Must exhibit a working knowledge of drug names, doses, strengths, and formulations.Must successfully complete Pharmacy Technician competency programs through on-the-job exposure.- PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES - Deliver medication to nursing units and outpatient areas with the hospital. - Processes printed medication orders and stock medication request as needed.- Processes medication trays when needed.- Answers telephone calls and responds to customer service window.- Replaces returned medication to appropriate storage areas.- Monitors par levels, reorders, and medications when needed.- Repackage pharmaceutical into unit dose packages. #cbFroedtert South is a comprehensive regional healthcare system that has served southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois communities for more than 100 years.
