Job Description:
The Military DoD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for
service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through
specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during
the last 180 days of service.These roles are unique opportunities
for service members with authorization to participate in the DoD
SkillBridge program as directed by their respective command. BRP is
a DoD SkillBridge authorized participant.This internship would
allow the qualified candidate to participate in a learning program
designed around training into a potential full-time opportunity of
a role similar to the one in the description listed below.DoD
SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from
BRP, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits
as active-duty service members. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare
work to be accomplished by studying standard work instructions,
quality alerts, specifications, and parts listEnsure parts,
subassemblies, tools and materials are present prior to the start
of shiftConduct check-do-check & pre-work safety checklistFollow
standard work instructions preciselyComply with process order
provided within instructionsComply with tools, materials and
supplies provided within instructionsAssemble components by
examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and
subassembliesNotify Team Lead of any deviation observed with
SWIKeep equipment operational by completing preventative
maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions;
troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairsMaintain safe and
clean working environment by complying with 5S procedures, rules
and regulationsMaintain supplies inventory by checking stock to
determine inventory level throughout shift Ability to identify 7
wastes and utilize ESP program to report those observations
regularlyMaintain tools, documents, cleanliness according to
process quality standards 100% of the timePerform Daily 5S audit
before end of shift and document finding on checklistParticipate in
SWI and Quality Alert approval process when required YOUR
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSHigh School Diploma preferredMechanical
aptitudeOne year of solid work historyAbility to work in team
