Job Description:

Production Technician I (Manufacturing)To manufacture Merz Aesthetics products in cleanroom/controlled environments. Assist management in all aspects of manufacturing of Merz products. Major Duties Particle Manufacturing Processing Perform all functions related to particle manufacturing, including but not limited to: Work order kit review (during and post production) Chemical reactions, including handling of chemicals Diafiltration Decanting, centrifuging, reslurry/sonication Sonicating, sieving and tumble washing Labeling and packaging Preparing samples for Quality analysis Equipment Set-Up and Operation Operate equipment related to particle manufacturing and processing, including but not limited to: Glass reactors, charge pots, filtration systems, scales, centrifuges, reslurry/sonication tanks, pumps, sieves, screen cleaners, sonicators, tumblers, drying ovens, mixers chart recorders Cleaning & Sanitization Perform daily, weekly, monthly and semi-annual janitorial and microbial cleaning of controlled areas, cleanrooms and other manufacturing/lab areas. Sanitize and clean processing tools, components and equipment. Handle and dispense chemicals for cleaning and sanitization with required PPE. Calibration & Measuring Perform general calibration assistance and utilize calibrated instruments/equipment during processing. GMP/GDP Perform all required Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) per all Standard Operational Procedures and Manufacturing Instructions. Inventory Control Responsible for labeling, storage, and movement of materials in-process. Responsible for consumable replenishment for in-process locations. Perform inventory control of warehouse, as needed. R&D and Engineering Support Process various R & D product samples following protocols, engineering studies and/or manufacturing documentation. Training support When certified by Dept Training Coordinator, provide training for approved operations. Further Tasks Cross departmental support in Production/Packaging or other areas. Must be able to operate industrial vehicle (lift/fork truck) to move material, as requested by management. Back up planner, including SAP transactions, Device History Record (DHR) work packet creation, confirming work orders, and inventory transactions and consumable replenishment. Education High School/GED degree Required Professional experience A minimum of one year manufacturing experience, preferably in medical device or chemical processing. Experience working in a Cleanroom environment. Knowledge, skills and abilities (incl. languages) Intermediate math skills with an ability to calculate with percentages and decimals. Required Ability to understand and interpret both written and oral communication in English. Required Proficiency with computers including word processing and spreadsheets. Knowledge of methods General scientific knowledge; analytical and technical writing skills. Personal skills Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work within the department and the rest of the company effectively. Must be able to pass vision testing requirements (with or without corrective eyewear). - 20/20 Near Acuity Vision Experience Required 1 year(s): Manufacturing experience, preferably in medical device or chemical processing. Preferred Experience working in a Cleanroom environment.
