Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Operates rotational molding machine to meet or exceed plant metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale/Inventory. - Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. - Transfer plastic resin into ovens for heating and into molds for forming. - Work as a team to assemble and dismantle molds. - Removes molded parts from the molds and monitors part temperature. - Conduct mold changes using overhead cranes and rigging. - Uses feedback from Trimmers inspecting product to drive process improvements to reduce scrap and improve productivity. - Maintains safe and clean operations by adhering to safety procedures and company 6S requirements. - Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. - Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: - Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to complete dimensional measuring and quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools. - Ability to perform simple math and measurements. - Ability to maintain a high attention to detail. - Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs. - Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders is required. - Frequent use of hands and wrists on both large and small items: e.g., screws, bolts and nuts to service the molds. - Ability to understand/apply knowledge of “G” and “M” codes and have applicable computer skills. - Ability to focus and work at a continuous pace for extended periods of time. - Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. - Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments. - Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently. - Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task. Education and/or Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred. - Previous manufacturing experience preferred. - Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment preferred.
