Job Description:
SUMMARY: The HR Coordinator Recruitment and Retention reports
directly to the Chief of Human Resources and is responsible for the
district's recruitment and retention initiatives and strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Education:- Required - Bachelor's degree in human
resources, business or other related field- Preferred - Master's
degree in human resources, business or other related field;-
Preferred - Professional in Human Resources certification: PHR,
SPHR, SHRM-SCP- Experience:- Required - Minimum five years'
experience in human resources, specifically in recruitment and
retention- Required - Thorough knowledge of state and federal
employment laws- Preferred -Knowledge of all HR functions,
including benefits, compensation, employee relations, HRIS and
diversity recruitment- Preferred - Experience in university and
diversity recruitment- Preferred - Experience utilizing and
maximizing social media and virtual recruitment
methodsRESPONSIBILITIES:- Designs, implements and reviews
(annually) the district's recruitment and retention plan.- Oversees
and supports school/department leaders with sourcing, screening and
interviewing qualified applicants for all positions, including
full-time, part-time and substitute.- Oversees and supports
school/department leaders with administering tests, checking
references, verifying employment/degrees and performing background
checks via the district-approved vendor.- Leads annual staffing
allocation meetings with hiring school/department leaders to audit
open positions, determine staffing projections and expeditiously
post hard-to-fill positions.- Develops and implements a
grow-your-own educator pipeline in conjunction with high school
administrators and university partners.- Develops and implements
recruitment plans to increase workplace diversity.- Interviews
candidates for open positions as appropriate.- Ensures
certification licensures comply with federal, state and local laws,
and procures emergency licensing when necessary.- Works with the
compensation coordinator to ensure employees are accurately
placement on respective salary schedules.- Oversees and supports HR
staffing personnel.- Monitors Title I licensure certification.-
Develops, leads and maintains the student-teacher placement
program.- Oversees the internal and external posting of all
district positions.- Serves as the liaison with educational
institutions and other sources of potential applicants nationally.-
Designs and implements online recruiting strategies for attracting
and recruiting candidates.- Monitors and maintains HR information
systems to ensure accurate data entry, processing and report
generation related to recruitment and retention.- Designs and
implements an onboarding program.- Develops and manages on-campus
and off-site recruitment programs, such as job fairs.- Tracks,
reports and audits recruitment and retention metrics, such as
applicant flow, interview status, hiring, transfers, promotions,
resignations, retirements and terminations for legal compliance,
annual reporting needs and organizational use.--Writes, reviews
and/or maintains job descriptions in line with state and federal
guidelines, such as FLSA.- Maintains and communicates updates
regarding federal and state updates, including DPI updates related
to teacher licensure.- Supports the chief human resource officer
regarding strategic goal number three.- Manages affirmative action
and equal employment opportunity programs.- Administers all
employee exit interviews.- Administers district personnel
policies.- Oversees and maintains employee files and electronic
records pertaining to the issuance of annual contracts pursuant to
state statute.- Writes board reports and/or executive summaries for
review/use by administration, the board of education and/or legal
counsel.- Attends other committee and school board meetings as
needed.- Provides cross-functional support in all areas of human
resources.- Perform all other duties as assigned.OTHER

knowledge of the teacher evaluation process- Ability to maintain
confidentiality of sensitive information- Ability to communicate
clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingINTERPERSONAL
