X-Ray Tech Location: Madison, WI Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $28 to $42 per hour Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Permanent (Full Time) Currently offering a $7,500 Sign-on Bonus Pay Rate: $28.32 - $42.48/Hourly. Summary: The Radiologic Technologists performs medical imaging procedures for diagnosis or treating medical problems in a clinical setting which consists of routine radiography. The Radiologic Technologists use their expertise and knowledge of patient handling, physics, anatomy, physiology, pathology and radiology to assess patients, develop optimal radiologic techniques or plans and evaluate resulting radiographic images. The radiologic Technologist also performs minor clinic clerical duties. The Radiologic Technologist reports to the Medical Imaging Manager and has an indirect reporting relationship to the Clinic Administrator. As assigned, this position will float to any of our 7 clinic locations, to provide coverage during staff absences and position vacancies. Responsibilities: Verifying patients' identity and reviewing physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures. Using x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders. Explaining x-ray procedures to patients and answering their questions. Positioning patients accordingly, which may include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility. Limiting patients' exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed. Requirements Requirements: Graduate from an approved school of Radiologic Technology Program Required. 0-2 years’ experience in a hospital or clinic Required. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Required. Licensed by the State of Wisconsin Required. BLS Certification, ARRT Certification. Benefits Benefits: Medical Insurance.
