Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing exemplary care in rehabilitation and home health settings. As a Respiratory Therapist at Encompass Health, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, helping them regain their independence through specialized respiratory care. This position requires expertise in respiratory therapy techniques and a genuine passion for patient care. Assess patient respiratory function and devise appropriate treatment plans. Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, ventilation support, and other respiratory treatments. Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatment plans, and preventative measures. Document patient therapy and progress, maintaining accurate and confidential records. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate respiratory care with other healthcare services. Stay updated with the latest respiratory care practices and technologies. Proficient in using various types of respiratory care equipment. Strong analytical skills to assess patient conditions and implement appropriate treatments. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with empathy and professionalism. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state license as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist. BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
