Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team, where compassion meets excellence in healthcare delivery. This position will focus on providing patient-centered respiratory care as part of our integrated healthcare services, aimed at rehabilitation and home health. Our goal is to aid patients in regaining independence after serious illness or injury through meticulous, personalized respiratory therapies and techniques. You will work closely within a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, administer treatments, and evaluate responses to care. Evaluate patient's respiratory conditions through diagnostic tests and discussions with healthcare professionals. Develop and implement targeted respiratory treatment plans. Operate and monitor respiratory equipment such as ventilators and oxygen units. Educate patients and families on treatment plans and ongoing management of their respiratory conditions. Assess and document patient responses to interventions for reporting and adjusting care plans. Proficient in the use and maintenance of respiratory care equipment. Strong assessment and diagnostic skills. Ability to educate and communicate effectively with patients and families. Capable of managing time effectively and handling multiple priorities in a healthcare setting. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential is mandatory. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is desirable.
