TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Madison, Wisconsin, 53792! Pay Information $2,527 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Pediatric ICU experience required. Solid experience in PICU, and some CV ICU or cardiac step-down or general cardiac experience required. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years. License: Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license required. Certifications: BLS - must be certified through the American Heart Association only. PALS - must be certified through the American Heart Association. Must-Have: Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred. Telemetry experience required. Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Join a highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team. Provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families. Work in a state-of-the-art 21-bed unit. Provide comprehensive care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical problems. Common problems include: acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO. Floating may occur based on current staffing needs. Travelers may have shifts scheduled in multiple units. If the primary unit no longer has needs, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit. Travelers' permanent address must be 50 miles from the assigned primary work site location. Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions only. Weekend rotations and some holidays will be required. Travelers must float to other units based on staffing needs. No references will be accepted. Competitive orientation schedule applies. Pass/fail testing is required with strict passing criteria. Traveler will have two attempts to pass the Telemetry exam. If the traveler does not pass after two attempts, a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course must be submitted before a third attempt is assigned. If the traveler fails after three attempts, notice will be given regarding assignment cancellation.
