Job Description UW Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Neurology for a job in MADISON, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Neurology - Discipline: Nurse Practitioner - Duration: Ongoing - Employment Type: Staff Work Schedule: /n 100% FTE, mainly day hours with rotating night and weekends (10-12 hour shifts). Includes additional compensation for night and weekend hours. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department. External hires may be eligible for relocation assistance. /n Be part of something remarkable. /n Come provide care to adults with serious neurological illnesses in our Neuroscience ICU. At UW Health – an academic medical center and Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program – you will treat the most complex trauma and stroke cases in the state. /n We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA): /n /n - Collaborate with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide on-going patient care and management. /n - Partner with a larger team including Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care and Neurology to provide medical and perioperative care during critical illness. /n - Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice. /n - UW Health’s Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Advisory Council ensures that your voices are heard. These may include the following: Acute Care only (Adult or Adult/Gerontology will be considered only if previous ICU experience). /n /n If Physician Assistant*: /n /n - Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND /n - Active PA board certification /n /n All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. /n *Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice.
