• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Lab Operations Associate Team.
• Ensure adequate staffing daily to assist lab teams.
• Manage sample movement, storage, disposal, and tracking.
• Serve as subject matter expert of the Path Lab Asset Tracker system.
• Ensure sufficient sample storage for all samples.
• Maintain organization of freezer samples.
• Operate tube handler and tube picker systems proficiently.
• Update lab floor plans as needed.
• Assist with cleanup of trash and debris, including biohazardous and chemical waste.
• Oversee duties such as biohazard waste disposal, chemical waste disposal, and lab decontamination.
• Liaise with vendors such as waste management and building engineers.
• Identify and document deviations from procedures.
• Develop and maintain lab processes and workflows.
• Maintain competencies in all lab operations tasks.Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills for operational and technical issues.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to processes.
  • Excellent communication skills across teams and functions.Compensation:Illinois Pay Range: $55,000 - $70,000 USDThis range applies if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary in other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary depends on qualifications and experience.
