• Job Details
• Job Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist administers ultrasound procedures to pregnant patients, operates ultrasound equipment, prepares patient rooms, equipment, and supplies. Position requires assisting with invasive procedures (amniocentesis), Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, high-detail Level 2 ultrasounds and anatomy surveys. Other duties as assigned.
• Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific ultrasound procedures. Teach new technicians how to scan.
• Observe the patient and instruments during procedures, report unusual occurrences and record patient conditions.
• Prepare room, equipment and materials as needed for patients.
• Maintain stock supplies.
• Enter exam procedures into a computer database.
• Maintain files and filing of patient records.
• Perform and help with portable ultrasound exams.
• Consult with perinatologist pertaining to findings to assist in diagnoses.
• Clean and disinfect ultrasound room and equipment.
• Consistently meet schedule and quality requirements.
  • Job Requirements
  • Candidate must be proficient with ultrasound equipment and have basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
  • One year of current clinical experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with McKesson PACS, Epic EMR preferred.
