hiring for an APNP, who will be responsible for supporting mental
health care for patients at all Professional Services Group Clinic
locations. Salary: $110,000 - $120,000. Plus a $3,000 sign-on
bonus!ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Examine, diagnose and treat clinical
patients as referred.Complete the physical, neurological, and
mental examinations of patients.Treat the psychiatric problems of
patients properly.Consult with the patients, their families,
attorneys, teachers, and other medical professionals.Document all
services to meet billing requirements including progress notes and
prior authorizations.Provide billing department with documentation
necessary to bill appropriate payer source.Prepare the proper
reports for the law examiners, judges, government officials,
physicians, and school officials.Provide professional witness
evidence in administrative hearings and courts of law.Discuss
patients who need referral for additional specialty mental health
care (i.e. to a community mental health center) and advise on
treatment plans until patients are engaged in appropriate
care.Respond to telephone calls from primary care providers within
one business day. Respond to urgent telephone calls within one hour
if available.Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and Training:State of Wisconsin licensed, Advanced
Practice Nurse Practitioner.Valid DEA license.Valid Medicare and
Medicaid certifications.Valid NPI number.Experience:Experience with
primary care mental health or child/adolescent mental health
preferred.Experience working with underserved, transient
populations and clinical co-morbidities (co-occurring mental
health, substance abuse, and physical health problems)
preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to read, speak
and write clearly in English.Must have complete knowledge and abide
by all established Clinical policies and procedures.Must be able to
work cooperatively and collaboratively with all Professional
Services Group employees, patients, and other community
agencies.Must maintain client confidentiality and follow all
established HIPAA privacy and security policies.Knowledge of
current practices and other theories in the mental health
field.Knowledge of and the ability to diagnose and treat mental
illness.Ability to deal efficiently with emotionally disturbed
adults and children for prescribing appropriate medicines to treat
psychological disorders.Ability to interpret the health care
treatment programs to medical professionals, relatives of patients,
staff, and others properly.Ability to prepare, review and maintain
diagnostic reports.Ability to prioritize and make appropriate
decisions.Ability to work independently and effectively manage
time.Must possess strong oral and written communication
skills.Ability to provide culturally, ethnically and gender
sensitive services.Ability to follow directions and implement
recommendations.Possess creativity in identifying problems and
solutions.Ability to self-motivate and remain on task.Ability to
quickly synthesize medical and psychiatric data and formulate
effective and evidence-based clinical recommendations.Intermediate
(or better) computer skills (including EMR file management,
web-searching, web-page navigation, cut/paste, drag and drop, use
of shortcuts and menus, and switching between windows).Ability to
maintain cell phone and email accounts for contact during usual
business hours, and respond to calls/emails within two business
