FTE: 0.600000 1.0 FTEis Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTEis Optional Part-Time Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .875 - 1.0 are eligible for full-timemedical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .874 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits Shift: 1 3, 8 hour day shifts per week. No weekends. No Holidays. Work details:RNwill work in the Cancer Center Lab. Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an ambulatory clinic or procedural environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population in the ambulatory clinics and/or undergoing procedures. Responsibilities may include administering medications, telephone triage, providing patient and family education and coordination of care, and performing, assisting with, and/or monitoring procedures. Competencies for the Staff RN " Ambulatory Clinics & Services may include, but are not limited to, pre- and post-procedure assessment, vascular access, infusion therapy, phlebotomy, post-procedure recovery, care coordination and teachback methods, point of care testing, device interrogation, and procedure-specific instruments and equipment needed for patient care. The Staff RN " Ambulatory Clinics & Services job description is adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010), the AAACN Scope and Standards of Practice for Professional Telehealth Nursing, 5th Edition (2011), and the AAACN Scope and Standards of Practice for Professional Ambulatory Care Nursing, 8th Edition (2010). Other duties as assigned. Summary: Two years of clinical nursing experience in a field that is applicable/acceptable to specific clinic is required. Three to five years of clinical nursing experience is preferred. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is preferred. Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 3 months of hire. Oncology experience, preferred. EPIC Beacon experience, preferred.
