UW-Parkside is a regional comprehensive university that is

intercollegiate varsity sports with more than 250 student-athletes.
The Rangers joined the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (GLIAC) on July 1, 2018. Parkside Athletics is growing,

The Director of Golf will lead the Parkside men's golf program
while having the opportunity to launch and build a women's golf
program. The Director of Golf will work with administration on all
aspects of launching this program, expected to begin competition in

assigned designee, the Director of Golf will be responsible for the
operation and management of all aspects of the Parkside men's and
women's golf programs, including but not limited to: scheduling,
budgeting, recruiting, fundraising, practice and game planning,
student-athlete development, and community engagement. The Director
of Golf will also oversee the Mark Olsen Indoor Golf Center,
including use by student-athletes, campus, and community.
All work will be done in accordance with university, conference,
and NCAA regulations. Due to the nature of this work, a willingness
and flexibility to work nights and weekends is required. This
position is a campus security authority and mandatory reporter as
defined by federal and state law.
Position Title: Coach (Director of Golf)

Reports To: The Director of Golf will report to the Director of
Essential Job Functions
1. Responsible for the overall management, leadership and execution
of the golf programs, fostering a positive educational and
competitive environment on and off the course.
2. Execute all responsibilities in accordance with the NCAA,
UW-Parkside, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
(GLIAC), University of Wisconsin System, and UW-Parkside Foundation
policies and procedures.
3. Commitment to operating all aspects of the programs in
compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
4. Plan, organize, and manage all phases of the golf programs; to

the Director of Athletics and athletics administration.
Effectively utilize the Mark Olsen Indoor Golf Center to generate
revenue through rentals, lessons, and camps/clinics.
7. Develop and Supervise:
A graduate assistant coach (beginning in 2023-24).

all departmental staff, including but not limited to the athletics

other department coaches.
11. Represent the athletics department through collaboration with a
variety of campus groups.
12. Represent the athletics department appropriately and
intentionally through community involvement, speaking engagements,
media responsibilities, etc.
13. Represent UW-Parkside as appropriate with the Great Lakes
Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC) and the NCAA.
14. Consistent with NCAA Bylaw 11 and institutional procedures,
Coach understands and agrees that if Coach is found in violation of
any NCAA or Conference Legislation or fails to report a violation,
he shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set
forth in the provisions of the NCAAA enforcement procedures,
including suspension without pay or termination of employment for
significant or repetitive violations. It is understood and agreed
that any such disciplinary or corrective actions shall be in
addition to and in no way limit or restrict any actions the
University may take pursuant to Article V herein.
- Bachelor's Degree
