Job Description:

Position Title: CNC Set Up Operator Wage: $25-$32/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 1pm-9pm QPS is seeking a skilled CNC Setup Operator for a growing manufacturing company in Oconomowoc, WI. This is an exciting opportunity for a precision-minded professional to set up, adjust, and operate CNC machinery, ensuring high-quality parts are produced efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, performing quality inspections, and troubleshooting machine issues to keep production running smoothly. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety are a must. CNC Set Up Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and adjust CNC machines according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications - Load tools, fixtures, and materials into machines and ensure proper alignment - Conduct test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure precision and quality - Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools - Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace - Communicate effectively with team members, engineers, and supervisors regarding production issues or improvements - Maintain accurate production records and document quality checks CNC Set Up Operator Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred - Proven experience as a CNC Setup Operator or in a similar machining role - Strong knowledge of CNC machines, tooling, and precision measuring equipment - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings - Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills - Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement - CNC machine setup and operation - Blueprint reading and interpretation - Precision measurement and inspection - Mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance - Attention to detail and quality assurance - Manufacturing/production environment with potential for exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery - May require standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
