Systems Stoughton, WI – Full Time Productive Resources
(www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of
our engineering team for our customer's facility in Stoughton, WI.
As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be responsible
for leading the development, deployment, implementation, and
ongoing maintenance of torque tool solutions across multiple
manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong
expertise in bolted joint theory, torque tool programming, and
data-driven problem solving to support quality, efficiency, and
consistency in assembly operations. This is a full-time position
that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional

Duties: Oversee the lifecycle of torque tools—including DC electric
and manual torque tools—from specification and procurement through
installation, programming, validation, and sustained maintenance.
Implement standardized torque strategies and best practices across
all plant locations. Lead troubleshooting efforts, root cause
analysis, capability studies, and corrective actions related to
torque systems and bolted joint performance. Partner with
Manufacturing, Quality, Product Engineering, and Maintenance teams
to ensure proper tool selection, calibration, and process
integration. Develop and maintain documentation including torque
specifications, standard work, preventative maintenance plans, and
programming parameters. Analyze torque data using tools such as
Minitab to ensure process capability, compliance, and continuous
improvement. Support ERP and PDM integration for torque-related
tooling, components, and data management. Mentor technicians and
operators on torque theory, proper fastening techniques, and torque
tool usage. Collaborate with equipment vendors to optimize tool
performance and support new equipment launches. Requirements:
Technical degree (Technical College or University) in Engineering,
Manufacturing, or related field. 2–10 years of hands-on experience
with torque tools (DC electric and manual). Strong knowledge of
bolted joint theory and torque application methods. Experience
programming and configuring torque tools and controllers.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze
torque data and process variation. Proficiency with engineering
tools such as SolidWorks, Minitab, and PDM systems. Preferred:
Atlas Copco, Cleco, Stanley, ToolsTalk, ERP integration Automotive
or heavy equipment manufacturing environments (Ford, Chrysler, GM,
John Deere, etc.) Torque tool programming, reaction devices,
fastening strategies Data-driven optimization and continuous
improvement initiatives As a condition of employment consideration,
