Nearly 100 years of stability — a third-generation, family-led construction firm built on integrity since 1928 Work on meaningful, high-impact projects across education, municipal, healthcare, commercial, and luxury residential markets Renowned for craftsmanship over volume — delivering custom builds, renovations, and quality-first execution Leadership with real field experience — decision-makers who understand projects from the jobsite up Award-winning and safety-focused culture — recognized by AGC, AIA Wisconsin, and The Daily Reporter for excellence What you will be doing: Accurately calculate project construction costs Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development (DD), and final construction budgets Develop detailed trade estimates including demolition, concrete, masonry, carpentry, and general conditions Obtain subcontractor bids and qualify scope of work Maintain and update cost databases Review subcontractor qualifications and maintain subcontractor database Build computerized Gantt schedules for bidding purposes Use on-screen takeoff software for quantity takeoffs Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships Manage RFIs during bidding and coordinate with architects and engineers Assist project managers with change order pricing Support preparation of RFPs and RFQs Manage multiple bids and estimates simultaneously Maintain strong written communication with internal teams and project partners Support company operations and contribute to the team and brand culture Experience you will need: Minimum 1 year of commercial construction estimating experience Experience estimating self-perform trades (demolition, concrete, masonry, carpentry) Strong understanding of construction processes and project workflow Experience with takeoff software and construction estimating tools Ability to prepare accurate project budgets and estimates Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
