Job Description Job Description Description Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with rooftop units, chillers, and boilers, and be proficient in both maintenance and installation of commercial HVAC systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, and boilers. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems. Install new commercial HVAC systems according to specifications and safety standards. Ensure all work complies with local codes and regulations. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure high-quality service delivery. Qualifications: Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance and installation. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and controls. EPA Certification and other relevant licenses preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Preferred Experience: Experience working with both maintenance and installation of commercial systems. Familiarity with rooftop units, chillers, and boiler systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of HVAC tools, materials, operation, maintenance, and repair. Ability to repair, install, inspect, diagnose, and maintain all parts of HVAC system. Understanding of safe mechanical practices and local, state, and federal codes and regulations applicable to HVAC. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints. Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elgin, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
