Job Description Job Description Description: Job Title: Maintenance Coordinator Department: Facilities Reports To: Facilities Manager Position Type: Regular 40 hours/week - *No Nights and No Weekends* FLSA Status: Non-exempt Salary: $21/hr. Benefits: Eligible Position Description This position is responsible for performing building maintenance duties to maintain a functional and safe environment for all staff, volunteers, program participants, and guests of the Goodman Community Center. The maintenance coordinator position will be responsible for room set ups, building repairs, building preventive maintenance, vehicle maintenance, and landscaping. Qualifications At least 6 months of prior maintenance experience Ability to stay focused on accomplishing set daily tasks and following through on requests Ability to read schedules, instructions, and room diagrams Effective communication skills to interact with all staff, volunteers, and community members Willingness to accept direction, advice, and work as part of a team Experience and knowledge of vehicle and building maintenance Valid driver license and ability to drive 15 passengers' vans. Trustworthy and dependable Responsibilities Complete room set-ups for meetings, special functions, and events as diagrammed. Clean and maintain building entryways and exits, keeping doorways welcoming and clear of debris. Clean and maintain communal areas including lobby and event spaces. Follow procedures for preventative maintenance and operation of basic cleaning equipment. Maintain clean custodial closet and re-stock with all necessary supplies and equipment. Follow basic cleaning procedures and proper use of chemicals. Report security discrepancies or building issues to supervisor. Comply with all safety regulations. Perform basic mechanical equipment maintenance and repair as requested by supervisor. Respond to building work orders. Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues. Work with Facilities Manager to complete building preventative maintenance Maintains gardens and lawns, including mowing, trimming, pruning, raking, and weeding. Waters plants and lawns and add fertilizer as needed. Install outdoor lighting and sprinkler systems. Removes snow, ice, and leaves as needed. In charge of vehicle training, maintenance log/checklist. Schedule and bring vehicles in for checkups and repairs. Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within this position's duties.
