Job Description:
Responsible for analyzing business loan requests to develop
thorough and objective credit presentations while ensuring the
bank’s lending policies are followed. Includes analysis of business
and personal cash flow and financial statements, comparison with
industry trends and/or projections, understanding of collateral
requirements and reviewing collateral valuations. These
responsibilities also include establishing necessary monitoring
reminders to ensure financial requirements are followed. Primary
focus will be on preparing credit presentations for lender approval
authority requests, renewals, and Treasury Management credit
presentation requests. Completing financials spreads and updating
financial ticklers. Expected Outcomes Credit presentations are
prepared and analyzed to ensure a high quality, accurate assessment
of the credit can be determined that identifies strengths and
weaknesses of the request. Timely credit presentations are prepared
and analyzed for renewals excluding the top 25% of the portfolio
Treasury management requests for ACH and Remote Deposit Capture
review are prepared to ensure additional extensions of credit can
be supported by the member. Annuals reviews are completed in the
first 10 months of the year to allow the credit union to foresee
any potential risk of loss Financial documents are received,
spread, and reviewed; where applicable, credit concerns are noted
and escalated. Ticklers are updated for the next review period.
Ticklers are removed on paid off loan relationships. Capability
Requirements Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics,
or related field of study. Two or more years of experience working
for a financial institution; or combination of applicable work
experience and education Solid understanding of financial
statements including but not limited to tax returns, profits & loss
statements, balance sheets and other business financials. Awareness
of laws and regulations that govern lending and accounting
practices. Professional well developed interpersonal and
communication skills essential for interacting with credit union
staff and members. Ability to work effectively in a team-based
environment with a variety of personalities. In-depth mathematical
skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals,
percentages, fractions, dividend, interest, payoff, and equity
calculations etc.). Strong attention to detail with the ability to
work efficiently and accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively; make and
carry out logical decisions. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word,
Outlook, and intermediate knowledge of Excel. The above information

Additional Information Physical Demands of Position: While
performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to
sit, stand and walk, and use hands and fingers. The employee
occasionally must reach above and below shoulder level, and
lift/push/pull and /or carry up to 10 pounds. Environmental/Working
Conditions: Works in a typical administrative setting with climate
control and appropriate lighting. Travel to branches requires
exposure to outdoor and traffic conditions. Equipment Used: Variety
of office equipment (telephone, printer, pc, mobile devices, etc.).
