Job Description Job Description Job Title: Cost Accountant Location: Midlothian, TX 76065 Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $33–$43 per hour (DOE) Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team in Midlothian, TX. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting cost data to support business decision-making, improve cost efficiency, and maintain accurate financial records within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Collect, organize, and maintain cost information in databases of expenses Analyze and estimate costs for new and existing product lines Prepare and present regular cost reports to management Collaborate with cross-functional departments to establish cost standards and budgets Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions and process improvements Conduct physical inventories and monitor inventory systems Assist with audits and general ledger preparation Forecast and plan future purchasing costs based on fiscal requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university Minimum of three (3) years of related experience and/or training Proven experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant, or similar role (manufacturing preferred) Strong understanding of risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting Experience with accounting software such as Oracle Fusion and Microsoft Excel Working knowledge of financial and accounting systems Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, technical procedures, and government regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy Why Join Us?
