Officer. This position will be located at 233 Main St. New Britain
CT, 06051Compensation Range:The annual salary range for this
position starts at $130,000.Compensation for each position is
determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and
skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. CMHA also

overall compensation.Position Summary: The Chief Operating Officer
oversees internal operations, ensuring the organization runs
smoothly and efficiently. This role involves managing program and
operational activities, leading teams, and aligning operations with
the organization's mission and strategic goals. The COO provides
overall clinical and administrative leadership for all program
areas to manage clinical risk and ensure high program quality,
compliance with accreditation and federal/state funding
regulations, and adherence to budget. The COO works with agency
leadership to develop a strategic plan and to ensure implementation
of applicable laws and mandates.
- Provides overall clinical and administrative leadership for all
program areas (residential, community support, adult, child, and
family outpatient) while ensuring program performance and
effectiveness.
- Provides operational leadership to the Performance Improvement,
MIS, IT, and Communications Departments ensuring collaboration with
program operations and agency's mission.
- Reviews and develops program initiatives including potential
new service areas; participates in grant development and other
funding initiatives to support services.
- In conjunction with the President/CEO and senior leaders,
participates in the development and implementation of the
organization's mission, vision, and values.
- Serves as the agency corporate compliance officer, overseeing
clinical and administrative audits, developing policies/procedures,
and ensuring outcome measures are maintained and reported.
- Develops agency policies and procedures according to state
regulations and funder's requirements.
- Works with executive leaders to create and implement a
three-year strategic plan, ensuring goals are achieved.
- Leads process and quality improvement initiatives using team
building, data analysis, problem solving, and project
management.
- Oversees reporting and monitoring of organizational performance
metrics.
- Manages budget activities within divisions/programs through
senior management tracking expenses and revenue.
- Collaborates with the Performance Improvement Department on
clinical outcome tracking and compliance.
- Represents the agency at administrative and contract
negotiations with funders.
- Facilitates Critical Incident Review Meetings and clinical
reviews for adverse events.
- Oversees agency risk management related to clinical and
administrative activities.
- Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
- Master's degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work,
counseling, marriage and family therapy, alcohol and drug
counseling) required.
- CT Licensure in a behavioral health discipline (LCSW, LADC,
LMFT, LPC, PhD, PsyD).
- CT Driver's License.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in behavioral health
with eight (8) years in senior management.
- Experience or willingness to learn EMR systems for auditing and
data gathering.
